The Campomoro Tower, built in the 16th century by the Genoese, is the largest tower in Corsica (15 m high)
Its originality lies in the fortification of a star-shaped perimeter wall. Restored in 1986, it belongs to the Conservatoire du Littoral [Coastal Protection Agency].
A permanent exhibition
On the first floor, a permanent exhibition retraces the history of the Genoese towers in Corsica and the invasion of the Barbarians (illustrations by Rafaelli).
It is open from April to October and on reservation outside this period.
Admission prices : €2.50, free for children under 12.
Plan you visit of the Campomoro Tower and along the trail by the sea called Sentier des Douniers, and discover the unusual accomodation in Senetosa lighthouse !
